About Us
We take pride in providing satisfaction to our customers in all of our services. A happy customer is very important to us. I find it gratifying to see my regular doggie clients rushing in to meet me when they arrive for their styling appointment. For those of you working people with a busy daily schedule, we have evening and weekend appointment available upon request. At Glamorous Pets our grooming and styling is much more than the ordinary (clip job), because your pet is much more than an ordinary dog. He’s your best friend, and we treat him that way.
Roger Borland, owner of Glamorous Pets has been involved with dogs all his life. As a child growing up I cared for many dogs. I later became involved with breeding, showing and training of the American Water Spaniel. Since then, I have shown dogs throughout Ontario and the United States and produced several champion dogs. I am a graduate of Pets Beautiful dog grooming school in London Ontario. I am certified by the American based organization called I.P.G. (International Professional Groomers Inc.) Although I groom and style all breeds, I specialize in all pet care and want to ensure you have a happy and healthy dog.
I inspect all pets carefully and check for anything your Vet. needs to be aware of. My experience as a breeder and show person enable me to understand and handle your dog better. I will groom and style your dog to your request and make them look and feel outstanding. I guarantee it. When your dog walks down the street, people will be impressed and will know it was groomed at Glamorous Pets.

At Glamorous Pets our grooming and styling is much more than the ordinary clip job, because your pet is much more than an ordinary pet. He’s /she’s your best friend and we treat your pet that way. Our experience with dogs and cats enables us to handle difficult pets without drugs. We use all natural shampoo’s and conditioners which enhance and improve both the pet’s coat and skin
We do not crate dry any pets.
Glamorous Pets experience with dogs, not only as a groomer but also as dog handler, and a breeder enables us to assess any problems that your Vet may need to be aware of. We are an important overseer of your dogs health.
PET GROOMING INCLUDES:
- Hydro- Serge bathing this is a therapeutic bath and each pet gets two shampoo sessions during the bath
- Conditioner to each pet
- Hivolosity removes loose hair and dead skin
- Nails cut
- Ears cleaned
- Anal gland emptied
- Coat dried
- Styled to perfection. I guarantee it.
- Our finishing spray to keep coat healthy.
- Bandanna or bows.

- Mat Removal
Mat Removal – While at Glamorous Pets we are extremely careful when clipping off excessively matted coats, there is a risk of nicks, cuts, abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the mats. Removal of the matting may also reveal skin irritations caused by moisture trapped near the pet’s skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow. Clipping may reveal embedded grass seeds, which may leave puss filled holes in your pets skin. If this is the case we will point the area’s out as it may require a visit to your Vet.
The after effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritation or abrasions and failure of the hair to grow. We will spend extra time not to shave right down to the skin as this can make your pet prone to sunburn and you would have to apply sun screen daily or your pet should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin.
After removing mats from the dogs ears the dog, because his ears feel lighter or strange, continually shakes his head or scratches his ears.
As the owner, you are responsible for the condition of your pet’s coat.

Appointments
Appointment/ Drop Off Time, No Show, Cancel booking information
Make sure you potty your pet at home prior to your appointment and after your pets grooming.
This is a courtesy to Glamorous Pets and neighbours.
Proof of all vaccinations must be up to date
Booking a drop off time
Call us at 519-421-1100 and book your drop off time. You are welcome to come and see our open concept grooming salon prior to booking your pets appointment.
Appointments/ Drop off time
Please be on time for your scheduled drop off time. If you are running late please give us a courtesy call prior to your scheduled appointment to let us know. Drop off times are very important. The more interruptions we have, the more upset the pets get, and the further behind we get. If we have not heard from you 30 minutes after your drop off time (this will be considered a no show) we will book another pet and you will have to reschedule.
Pick up time
Please note: your pet will not be ready for pick up until you are called!!!! Drop ins and unnecessary phone calls to see if your pet is finished adds to lost time and further upsets the pets. Kindly wait for a call from us. We will endeavour to give you an approximate time when your pet will be done.
Cancellations
If you can not keep your appointment please call us at least 24 hours in advance so we may fill your appointment.
No Shows
Three no shows in one calender year and Glamorous Pets has the right to refuse grooming your pet or ask you to pay for the grooming service in advance in order to book your next appointment. If you do not show up for the paid appointment you will lose the monies paid.

Jeff and Deborah Hainer and Max, January 08 2011 On behalf of Max and his owners Jeff and Deborah Hainer, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for alerting us to Max’s medical condition. We took him to our Vet on November 29th and had a biopsy done and it was a malignant tumor on his anal gland. Max had surgery on December 29th in which the Vet removed the tumor and the gland. Max came through his surgery and the Vet has confirmed that he has got all the tumor and didn’t see anything spreading in the x-ray. We can’t thank you enough for alerting us to this issue. We are so glad we have someone grooming our dog who cares. Thanks so much. |

Douglas Moyes, December 20, 2010 We have an 11 year old male pug who we take to Glamorous Pets for regular grooming. Over the years the quick in his nails has grown quite long due to the dark colour of his nails making them difficult to trim and his nails are beginning to curl. The Vet told us that to stop the curling the quick must be scaled back. We asked Roger to under take this project knowing that there would be bleeding and some trauma to Milo (our dog) but felt the procedure was necessary. During the procedure Milo became so stressed that he literally collapsed and stopped breathing. Hearing no activity I stood up and saw Roger administering resuscitation measures to revive him. After a short period of time Milo started breathing again and was standing up although somewhat shaky. Thanks to Rogers quick and expert response, Milo is still with us today and to him we are grateful. |

Debbie and Mike Peterman, October 11, 2010 We would like to send a huge bouquet to our dog groomer Roger at Glamorous Pets in Woodstock. He detected something didn’t feel right about the bladder of our 6 year old Shihtzu, "Gracie". He called immediately and recommended she see a Vet. Gracie went in for x-rays which revealed her bladder was full of bladder stones ( a build up of minerals). She underwent emergency surgery where they removed 61 stones. Thanks for saving our little girl’s life. |
